Earlier this year, a brand new version of JDF (Job Definition Format), the industry standard for automated print production workflows was released.  JDF is a technology for binding together digital workflows for graphic design and print.  JDF is sometimes referred to as a 'job ticketing' system, but that is just the start of what it can do.  JDF also establishes a structure for automatic production processes.  It might be used for preflighting jobs and carrying out required changes automatically. Our new factory, currently being built, is being designed with JDF in mind. All the new technology Garnett Dickinson is investing in is JDF compatible, for when our customers are ready to start taking advantage of this new innovation.
